How Crypto Helped Me Understand Money Better
Before I got into crypto, money was just… money. Something I earned, spent, saved when I could. I never thought much about where it came from, how it was created, or why it sometimes felt like it disappeared faster than I made it.
Then I bought my first bit of Bitcoin.
It wasn’t much. Just enough to see what the hype was about. But what followed wasn’t just price charts and market news—it was a rabbit hole into how money really works.
I learned that central banks print more money than I ever realized. I learned about inflation—not just as a textbook term, but as something that quietly eats away at savings. I saw how traditional finance was built on trust in systems that don’t always work in our favor.
Crypto didn’t just offer an alternative. It forced me to ask better questions.
Why do we trust banks more than code? Why can’t sending money across borders be as easy as sending an email? And who really controls the value of what’s in our wallets?
I still use traditional money, of course. But now I understand it in a way I never did before. And that alone has made my crypto journey worth it.
