An IDO (Initial DEX Offering) is a fundraising method where a crypto project launches its token on a decentralized exchange (DEX) like Uniswap or PancakeSwap.

How it works:

1. Token Listing on DEX:
The project provides liquidity and lists the token directly on a DEX.

2. Instant Trading:
Once live, users can trade the token immediately — no waiting like in ICOs.

3. Permissionless Access:
Anyone with a wallet can participate. No centralized control or approval is needed.

Benefits:
- Fast and open fundraising
- Immediate token liquidity
- Lower cost for project teams

Risks:
- High volatility at launch
- Possibility of scams or rug pulls
- No strict regulation

IDO vs ICO:
- IDO = Decentralized launch
- ICO = Centralized, often private

Always research the project, DEX, and tokenomics before joining an IDO.
