What is mitigation?

Mitigation is simply when price returns to a previous zone ( often OB, BB or FVG) where there are unfilled orders to fill those orders before continuing the trend.

Mitigation isn't reversal its a structured pullback in the direction of real order flow
How to Spot mitigation ⬇️

1. Price breaks structures

2. Leaves behind an OB or imbalance

3. Returns to mitigate

4. Continues the trend direction

How to use it in live trading:

Β· Only trade mitigation in the
 direction of current structure

Β· Confirm the return with lower time frame BOS and liquidity sweep

Β· Pair with confluence like: fair value gaps, liquidity sweeps, internal structure shift.

Always know that price will take out all unmitigated order block as inducement, considering the fact that there might be another unmitigated level below, after a valid sweep.

What is order Flow?

In simple terms order Flow is the real time buying and selling activities in the market, it shows who is in control

Order Flow helps you to reveal where price is likely to go next, it shows liquidity grabs, fakeouts and key levels combined with mitigation

Key Things to Note About Order Flow:

1. Bullish Order Flow:

Higher highs and higher lows being respected.

Demand zones holding strongly

Breaks of structure to the upside

Clean displacement candles pushing price upward.

Mitigation of previous demand zones, then continuation.

2. Bearish Order Flow:

Lower highs and lower lows respected.

Supply zones holding.

Breaks of structure to the downside.

Displacement to the downside.

Mitigation of supply zones before continuing down.
Shift in Order Flow = Early Signal:

When the current bullish or bearish sequence is broken, it often signals a potential reversal or pullback.

This is where you combine it with mitigation to catch sniper entries.
