"Private and public keys are a pair of cryptographic tools used in cryptocurrency and blockchain to securely send and receive digital assets."
For Example:
1. Public Key
i). Think of it like your email address or bank account number.
ii). Itβs derived from your private key and can be safely shared.
iii). Others use your public key (or address derived from it) to send you crypto.
2. Private Key
i). Think of it like your password or PIN.
ii). Itβs a secret string of characters that proves ownership of your crypto.
iii). Used to sign transactions and access your funds.
iv). If someone gets your private key, they can steal your assets.
Analogy:
Imagine a mailbox:
1. Public key = mailbox address (anyone can send mail to it).
2. Private key = mailbox key (only you can open it and read what's inside).
