A crypto wallet is a tool—either software or hardware—that allows you to store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others. It doesn’t actually store the coins themselves, but rather your private and public keys, which are needed to access your crypto on the blockchain.

Types of Crypto Wallets:

1. Hot Wallets (connected to the internet) These includes:

i) Mobile wallets (apps like Trust Wallet, MetaMask)

ii) Desktop wallets (software on your computer)

iii) Web wallets (accessed through a browser)

2. Cold Wallets (offline, more secure) these includes:

i) Hardware wallets (USB-like devices like Ledger, Trezor)

ii) Paper wallets (a physical printout of your keys or QR codes)

And What it Does:

1) Stores keys: Holds your public and private keys.

2) Sends crypto: Uses your private key to sign transactions.

3) Receives crypto: Gives you a public address to share with others.

Security Tip:

1) If someone gets your private key, they can steal your crypto so keep it safe to yourself alone.

2) Cold wallets are safer for large amounts or long-term storage.
